When you sell vehicles, you work with infrequent, high-price sales at a low volume.

Most people can’t afford to make a major purchase often, and when they do, it’s because you’ve patiently informed them about their purchase until they felt comfortable buying.

But automotive sales do share something in common with low-cost retail — most customers start their search for the perfect product online.

That means automotive businesses like yours need to have a specialized SEO partner on your side to reach as many customers as possible.

Even if you can’t always beat a competitor on price, you can beat them online to attract new customers and grow your business.

But where do you start?

At SEO Companies Ranked, we’ve answered that question by creating a list of the 10 best automotive SEO companies in the world.

How to Select Your Automotive SEO Partner

When it comes to SEO, it’s crucial that you find an agency that will work with you as a functional partner — not just a marketing agency.

That means performing due diligence to find the ideal fit for your company, specifically.

Our list provides a great starting point. But #1 on our list may not be the #1 choice for your automotive company.

Using our list, find the SEO companies that fit your criteria for size, location, and pricing (among other factors).

Then, add those agencies to a shortlist you have. This list should have 5 SEO companies on it at most. Otherwise, you’ll spend too much time researching SEO companies that won’t partner with you.

Next, check out each agency’s website. Specifically, you want to look at each agency’s homepage, About page, and Testimonials page.

The homepage will show you if an SEO company can keep up with current Internet marketing trends, especially web design.

If their homepage looks sleek, modern, and easy-to-use, then they’re clearly up-to-date.

If their site looks like it hasn’t been updated since 1999, cross the agency off your list.

Next, check out each SEO company’s About page. Here, you should find unique photos of the company itself, text that discusses the company in detail, and maybe even a video that gives you a tour of their facilities.

If an agency’s About page uses stock photos, generic videos, or thin content, cross them off your list! They should have enough pride and confidence in their business to proudly display it in detail.

Last, look for a Testimonials page on each agency’s site. This page will have positive feedback from the agency’s current and past clients, which can give you a great idea about what to expect from partnering with an agency.

The best agencies will have hundreds of testimonials. Other SEO companies may have 50, and decent SEO companies will have two dozen or so.

If an SEO company doesn’t have any testimonials on their site, that’s a red flag. That could mean they’re too new to be experienced, they don’t have any positive feedback from clients, and / or they’re not proud enough of their accomplishments to show feedback on their site.

Any combination of those ideas could have drastic repercussions for your brand if you partner with that agency, so it’s best to scratch them off your list.

Now, you should have a final list with one, two, or three SEO companies on it.

Contact each of these agencies to talk about your business’s needs in detail. An SEO company’s representative should be cordial, informed, and helpful without being condescending.

If you find that you butt heads with a representative, don’t contract with that agency. Most SEO contracts last several years, so if you have a dysfunctional relationship with an agency right off the bat, that doesn’t show much promise for a future contract.

On the other hand, remember the SEO companies that get along with you well. They’ll probably be great partners for a year-long contract.

With all that done, you should have your ideal SEO company ready! Partner with them as quickly as possible to grow your company!
